Togal.AI and Coastal Construction Earn Global Recognition at The Big 5 – the Largest International Construction Awards
MIAMI — Miami-based startup Togal.AI is standing out internationally – as one of the top innovators using artificial intelligence in construction. The Big 5, the world’s largest international construction showcase, is nominating Togal.AI for its work with Coastal Construction as “Best Use of Technology of The Year.” The winner will be announced at its
Construction Impact Awards at Dubai’s World Trade Center on December 5, 2022.
With more than 55,000 people estimated to attend, Togal is being recognized among some of the biggest names in construction, including Gensler, China State Construction Engineering, Turner & Townsend and The Arab Contractors Company.

Togal.AI uses machine learning to automatically estimate construction plans and take-offs — compressing weeks of work into mere seconds. Estimators at Coastal Construction, the largest General Contractor in Florida, used Togal to cut their workload by 40 percent – saving around $1 million per year and 10,000 hours of work.
This case study caught the attention of The Big 5. An international, independent judging panel assessed hundreds of submissions to capture a shortlist of finalists who have shown innovation and excellence through their success stories.
“Togal accelerates preconstruction so crews can break ground faster. This is more important than ever, with supply chain strains, labor shortages and record-high material prices,” Murphy added. “While the construction industry has been slow to adopt AI, the current market pressures are pushing them to use innovations like Togal to save time and money.”
Togal recently won a $420K investment for taking first place in Miami’s emerge Americas Startup competition judged by Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary. Togal was also selected for this year’s Venture Atlanta conference in October. In Addition, the startup has made BuiltWorlds’ Pre-Construction 50 List two years in a row, which names the hottest, construction-tech startups in the world.
